  • Provided general consultancy and advisory services to IMO, inter­governmental organizations (IGOs) and governmental entities, including facilitation of the development of a maritime resource and security strategy for Somalia under the United Nations lead ‘Kampala Process’ 03/13 and the development of a Somali National Maritime Administration 04/14
  • Completed a project proposal for IMO on the establishment of a Cooperative Mechanism for the Mozambique Channel and it approaches on the protection of this vital shipping lane in the South Western Indian Ocean
  • Developed an IMO Strategy for Capacity Building related to the 1988 SUA Convention and Protocols and other IMO maritime security measures as they relate to the work of the United Nation Security Council 1540 Committee
  • Provided presentations and keynote addresses at a number of major international conferences, workshops, desk­top exercises and roundtable discussions relating to maritime security, counter-­piracy and the treatment of persons rescued at sea, including the International Tribuneral for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS), ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF), the United Nations High-­Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Regional Roundtable and the European Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA)

  • TRACECA/NTU workshop concerning Code for Recognized Organizations (RO Code), III Code and IMO Member State Audit Scheme, Baku, Azerbaijan 07/14

  • Maritime Adviser to the Government of Indonesia on Voluntary Pilotage in the Malacca and Singapore Straits and of the Marine Division of Kiribati on implementation of the IMSAS Corrective Action Plan (CAP) and general enhancement of Maritime Safety and Security
  • Maritime Expert in the admaris / ARRC Arrab Consulting project to consult the Transport General Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on IMO flag State implementation, control and enforcement requirements and best practices including IMSAS results corrective action
